about
South London artist Love Remain returns with new single ‘Like Home’, out 12th August on SNDWNR.
Combining a skippy 2-step beat with pensive percussion and impassioned vocals, ‘Like Home’ is an emotive club cut that leaves a lasting impression. His second release in quick succession, it follows on from the similarly poignant club sounds of last month’s debut single ‘No Tears In The Morning’, with both tracks set to feature on his debut album Still In Awe, out 23rd September.
“This is one for the time you see that Person,” Love Remain explains. “The one that makes you feel a way that’s so hard to describe, like that internal feeling of warmth almost. It doesn’t really matter where you are, it's about that moment there and then where it all starts to make sense.”
Love Remain is a new project curated from an appreciation of surroundings, and the things that are important. It’s about being more present, more curious and accepting of things for what they are. It’s reconnecting with people and friends, being out again and taking in where you are. Being able to slow down and reflect has a big influence on the music. It’s voice notes from friends, relationships, experiencing loss, field recordings in nature, odes to South London and the people there.
‘Like Home’ sees Love Remain again tap into his idiosyncratic, emotional club sound.
